Privacy policy
Last updated: October 15, 2026
Klaky is an app that helps businesses record their social media videos: it writes the script, guides the recording shot by shot and edits the video. This policy explains what data we collect in the app and on this site, what we use it for and what you can do about it.
Who is responsible for your data
Franco Caviglia, domiciled in Venado Tuerto, Santa Fe, Argentina. For any questions about your data, email us at [contact email].
What data we collect
If you join the waitlist
- Your email.
- The language of the page you signed up on, so we write to you in that language.
- If you choose to provide them: your business’s industry, which phone you use and your WhatsApp number.
- If you came through someone else’s link, who invited you.
If you visit this site
We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics: how many visits each page gets, which site they come from and general data such as the country or the type of device. It doesn’t use cookies or identify you.
If you use the app
- Your account: when you sign in with Google, we receive your name, your email and an identifier for your Google account. We don’t receive your password.
- Your business profile: name, industry, star product, benefit, audience and tone. It’s stored on your phone and sent to us every time you request a script.
- Your scripts: the texts are stored on your phone.
- Your usage: how many scripts you generate per day and how much processing each one used, to apply your plan’s limit and keep costs under control.
- How you use the app and its errors: which screens you open and which steps you complete (for example, generating a script, recording a scene or saving a video), your phone’s model and operating system, and the technical details of errors. They’re tied to your Klaky account identifier, without your name, your email or the text of your scripts.
- Your takes and videos: they’re recorded and stored on your phone. When you request automatic editing, we upload that video’s takes to our servers to put it together, and we transcribe the audio for the captions.
- Your plan: if you subscribe, we know which plan you have and when it renews. Payment is processed by Google Play: we don’t see your card details.
Phone permissions
The app uses the camera and the microphone to record, the motion sensor to show you whether the phone is level and the gallery to save your videos. The sensor and the camera are only used on your phone: they don’t send us anything while you record.
What we use it for
- Writing your scripts and editing your videos.
- Maintaining your account, your plan and your monthly video allowance.
- Letting you know when it’s your turn to try Klaky or when it’s available for iPhone, if you joined the list.
- Answering your questions and improving the app.
- Knowing which steps in the app get completed and fixing errors.
- Preventing abuse, for example by limiting the number of requests.
We don’t sell your data or use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
Only with the providers we need for Klaky to work:
- Cloudflare: hosts this site, our servers and the database, and counts visits to the site.
- Anthropic: its Claude model writes the scripts. It receives your business profile and the format you chose, not your email or your account details.
- Google: to sign in with your account and to charge for subscriptions through Google Play.
- RevenueCat: records your subscriptions so we know which plan you have.
- HostGator: where the edited videos are put together.
- PostHog: records how the app is used (screens and steps) and its errors, with your Klaky account identifier.
Some of these providers store data outside Argentina, for example in the United States. We may also share data if a competent authority requires it by law.
How long we keep it
- Waitlist: until you unsubscribe or until we close the list.
- Account and usage: for as long as you have the account. If you delete it, we delete your data within 30 days.
- App usage and errors: they stay in PostHog with your account identifier. If you delete your account, that identifier no longer points to you: our database no longer records who it belonged to.
- Takes uploaded for editing: we delete them after 30 days.
- What’s on your phone (profile, scripts and takes) stays there until you delete it or uninstall the app.
How we protect your data
Everything travels encrypted (HTTPS). On your phone, your session is kept in the system’s secure storage, and in our database we only store a hash of that token, which can’t be used to sign in.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to see the data we have about you, to correct, update or delete it, and to remove you from the waitlist. Email us at [contact email] from the email you signed up with or the one you use to sign in to the app, and we’ll reply within 10 business days.
To delete your account, follow the steps in Delete my account.
The Agency for Access to Public Information (Agencia de Acceso a la Información Pública), in its capacity as the Supervisory Authority of Law No. 25,326, has the power to handle the complaints and claims filed by those whose rights are affected by non-compliance with the rules in force on personal data protection.
Minors
Klaky is for businesses and isn’t intended for people under 18. If we learn that an account belongs to a minor, we delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change anything important, we’ll let you know in the app or by email before it takes effect. The date at the top shows the last update.
