A teleprompter app that also shows you where to stand
The text sits at the top, right by the camera, and scrolls on its own while you record. So you look straight ahead and never forget what to say. Klaky also shows you the framing, the level and the time for each scene.
Made so the reading doesn’t show
It shows up in the scenes where you talk. In product or hands shots, the text goes on screen and you don’t have to say anything.
- 1Where do I look?
Right by the lens
The text sits at the top, next to the front camera. So your eyes stay on the lens.
- 2Slow or fast reader?
Three speeds
Slow, normal or fast. If the line doesn’t fit in the box, it scrolls at that speed.
- 3Can’t read it?
Three text sizes
Small, medium or large. Large shows two lines so it doesn’t cover your face.
- 4Caught off guard?
Countdown
Tap record and it counts down 3 seconds. Time to look at the lens and start.
More than a teleprompter
Knowing what to say is half of it. The other half is getting a good take, and Klaky helps before, during and after you record.
- Before you record
Short scenes
No long script to memorize: one or two sentences per take.
- Before you record
Framing silhouette
It shows you where to stand: close-up, medium shot, product or overhead.
- While you record
On-screen level
It warns you if your phone tilts, even when you shoot from above.
- While you record
Time per scene
Each scene runs just as long as it needs, and you see how much is left.
- After each take
Review the take
Watch it and decide whether to redo it or keep it.
- After each take
Light check
If it came out dark, blown out or backlit, it tells you how to fix it.
How to use a teleprompter without looking like you’re reading
Not at the screen. That’s why the text sits by the camera.
Face a window. With the light behind you, your face comes out dark.
If you stumble, rewrite the line the way you’d say it. It shows less.
Try the slow speed the first few times. It’s saved for your next videos.
How far to place your phone
- Close-up: arm’s length, about 2 ft
- Medium shot: 3 to 5 ft, propped up or on a tripod
- Product: 8 to 12 in
- Overhead: 16 to 24 in above the table

Can I paste a long script?
- Klaky splits the script into short scenes: one or two sentences per take.
- If you already have your text, you write it scene by scene.
Can I change the speed and the text size?
- Yes: slow, normal or fast, and small, medium or large text.
- It’s saved for your next videos.
Do I need a tripod?
- No. For a close-up, hold it at arm’s length.
- For a medium shot, prop it on something steady or use a tripod.
Does it record my voice too?
- Yes, with your phone’s microphone.
- Then it adds captions with what you said.
Does it work on iPhone?
- Yes: the iPhone version is coming soon.
- Android comes first.
